👤 About

Platform architect specializing in modular, multi-runtime systems. Author of Universal Microservices Architecture. Writing about device-independent systems, WebAssembly, and Contract-Driven AI Development.

I design architectures that scale across runtimes, from cloud to edge to browser. My work focuses on platform consistency, declarative contracts, and metadata-driven systems that prepare organizations for an AI-native future.

I’m also currently writing "Universal Microservices Architecture: Device-Independent Modelling for Modern Software Design with WASM," a comprehensive guide to UMA as an architecture for building modular, portable, device-independent services. The book explores how WebAssembly, declarative contracts, and metadata-driven design together enable software to transcend single-platform assumptions, scale across runtimes, and prepare for an AI-native future.

My ongoing work explores how AI agents interact with software through contracts, policies, and verifiable boundaries.

Previously, I co-founded startups in travel, education, and payments, always aiming to bridge innovation with practical delivery.

Architecture models and publications like:

📄 June 2023 - Client-Side Microservices Architecture (CSMA) - White Paper, bringing modular, service-oriented thinking to the frontend

📄 August 2024 - Universal Microservices Architecture (UMA) - White Paper, a portable, WebAssembly-first approach to distributed systems across devices, runtimes, and clouds

📄 August 2025 - Event Contract Catalog Architecture (ECCA) - White Paper, a blueprint for discoverable, governable, and secure event-driven systems at enterprise scale

📄 November 2025 Contract-Driven AI Development (C-DAD) – White Paper establishing a foundation for AI-assisted software engineering through verifiable contracts, automated reasoning, and hybrid governance. C-DAD extends specification-driven design with machine-readable manifests, policy enforcement, and provenance tracking.

✍️ Why I’m Writing

Writing helps me work through ideas, explore architecture patterns, and stay curious about where our industry is heading.

Weekends are for family. And when there’s snow on the ground, it’s ski time. No questions asked.

❄️ A Few Fun Facts

- I’m a certified ski instructor with ski patroller training. Fresh snow always wins.

- My two little girls believe “monolith” is a scary word. I’m not correcting them.

- I’m into all things outdoors: skiing, road biking, mountain biking, and running.

- I moved from Italy to Canada around 10 years ago. I adjusted, but I still can't accept what some people call pizza.

- I make real carbonara. No cream. No shortcuts. Just the truth.

- I like to ask big questions, make fun of tech buzzwords, and remind myself often: I don’t know shit. And that’s the fun part.
